Thunderhill 25hrs Enduro Race

Thunderhill 25hrs … what a spectacular event. 54 for teams showed up with a little over 200 drivers to battle for the win over a 25hr race. We raced under OneMotorsports with four drivers, our pro Colin Braun, George Kurtz, Dave House and me. All of my stints were in the night including the graveyard shift from 2:45am to 6:15am. Our car ran very well for about 7hrs. We even had the lead position into the early hour of the night when the electrical gremlins appeared. We had to change two alternators and 5 batteries to get the car going. Unfortunately, the car died twice on the track with an electrical shut down. To top off the nights events, we had to change the engine, too. Our mechanics did this in 40min! Unbelievable work by them. They were the true backbone of this race. My hat is off to them. In the end we didn’t get the top spot which was deservedly won by the Davidson team but we got third place in our class.
